Mark L. Fine, Chief Executive Officer
Mark L. Fine is one of Southern Nevada’s preeminent real estate developers. His 30-year legacy includes an impressive list of the Las Vegas Valley’s most successful and landmark developments. As president of American Nevada, he guided the development and growth of Green Valley, Las Vegas’ first large scale master-planned community, for 17 years. During Fine’s tenure, Green Valley was rated as one of the nation’s fastest growing communities. His vision included three of Las Vegas’ most successful custom home communities, Quail Ridge Estates, The Fountains, and Grand Legacy, as well as more than 1 million square feet of office, industrial and retail space and amenities, including Legacy golf course and Green Valley Athletic Club, now known as Club Sport. He contributed to the enrichment of community life through a public art program that featured outdoor sculpture. The program was embraced by the community and throughout Green Valley. It was rated Best of the Best by the Las Vegas Review Journal.
During his four years as president of the Summerlin division of The Howard Hughes Corporation, Mark was responsible for launching the master-planned community, which became the nation’s fastest selling community less than two years after the first family moved there. Today Summerlin is home to more than 85,000 people. Within Summerlin, Mark was responsible for the custom home communities of Eagle Hills and Tournament Hills as well as the development and opening of the Tournament Players Club at Summerlin.
In addition, Mark served as development advisor to the Peccole family in their development of the exclusive custom neighborhoods of Queensridge and Queensridge North. Mark was an active participant in Park Towers, Las Vegas’ premier luxury high-rise condominium at Hughes Center, from the project’s inception.
Presently, Mark L. Fine & Associates is developing Hills Center North Business Park, the second phase of a 22.5-acre master-planned business park in the heart of Summerlin that will eventually encompass more than 250,000 square feet in 36 buildings. Mark is co-developing Canyon Pointe Shops, 25,000 square feet of the only in-line retail space at Canyon Pointe, a 600,000-square-foot community retail center in Summerlin. He is personally serving as a strategic advisor to Focus Property Group in their development of two master-planned communities: Mountain’s Edge, a 3,000-acre master-planned community in the southwest region of the Las Vegas Valley; and Cliff’s Edge, a 1,200-acre community in northwest Las Vegas.
Fine’s community affiliations include serving on the Southern Nevada Strategic Planning Authority; serving as a trustee/director of the UNLV foundation, as a board member for the Andre Agassi Foundation, as well as past president of the board of Class! Publications. He is the founding director of the Clark County Business Partnership Advisory Board and also a National Trustee of the National Jewish Medical and Research Center, the number one respiratory hospital in the United States.
Fine is a member of the Urban Land Institute; a member of the World President’s Organization; trustee and former executive committee member of the Nevada Development Authority and a former member of the Nevada Tax Commission. He currently sits on the board of directors for Nevada First Bank.
Fine was named one of Nevada’s Top 50 Leaders by the Nevada Business Journal and is the recipient of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Community Achievement Award in Real Estate and Land Development for the year 2001. In 2003, he was selected by InBusiness as one of Southern Nevada’s Most Influential Businessmen, and was chosen as a member of the 2004 “Vegas Dozen” by the Nevada Cancer Institute.
